VoucherCart allows you to limit the number of vouchers available for sale. You can apply a limit to an entire voucher or set individual limits for each voucher option, helping you manage availability for products with limited capacity.
Enable quantity limits
1. Open the voucher pricing and quantity settings
Log in to your VoucherCart dashboard.
Navigate to Vouchers > Vouchers. (1)
Find the voucher you want to update and click Actions (2) > Edit. (3)
Select Edit Voucher Pricing and Quantity. (4)
2. Enable quantity limits
Enable Limit the Quantity. (5)
Click Manage (6) to configure the available quantity limits.
3. Set the main quantity limit
Under Main Quantity, click Set a Limit. (7)
Enter the maximum number of vouchers you want to sell.
The Main Quantity represents the total number of vouchers that can be sold across all options for that voucher.
For example
If you sell a Mother's Day Champagne Afternoon Tea voucher, you could set a Main Quantity of 100, allowing a maximum of 100 vouchers to be sold in total.
Set limits for voucher options
If your voucher has multiple options (for example, different quantities or experiences), you can choose one of two approaches.
Option 1: Limit the overall voucher only (7.1)
Option 1: Limit the overall voucher only (7.1)
Leave each voucher option as Unlimited.
The Main Quantity acts as the overall stock limit across all voucher options.
For example:
Main Quantity: 100
For 1 person: Unlimited
For 2 people: Unlimited
For 3 people: Unlimited
Sales continue across all options until the overall limit of 100 vouchers has been reached.
Option 2: Set limits for each voucher option (7.2)
Option 2: Set limits for each voucher option (7.2)
Set an individual limit for each voucher option.
For example:
Main Quantity: 100
For 1 person: 40
For 2 people: 50
For 3 people: 10
In this example, the individual limits add up to the overall Main Quantity of 100, allowing you to manage availability for each option based on your capacity.
Display remaining availability
Show remaining quantity
Enable Show Remaining Quantity on the Product Details Page (8) if you want customers to see how many vouchers are still available.
Displaying the remaining quantity can help encourage purchases by highlighting limited availability.
Show remaining quantity only when stock is low
Enable Hide Remaining Quantity When Quantity Is Greater Than (9) to display the remaining quantity only once stock falls below a specified threshold.
For example
If you enter 10, customers will only see the remaining quantity when there are 10 or fewer vouchers left. The displayed number will then continue to decrease as vouchers are sold.
