Sell a voucher product to be delivered by email to the recipient
1. Open the VoucherCart app on your Simphony POS. This is likely to be configured as a button on your PAY screen (NB: the exact location on your till may differ. If you are not sure, please check with your Simphony POS administrator.)
2. Tap 'Sell a new voucher or gift card'. This screen displays your saleable voucher products as set up in your VoucherCart account.
3. You can filter products by sales page (If your account has more than one sales page), redeemable locations, and category.
4. To sort products in the list by product name, tap on the column header to sort by that column.
5. To select a product to sell, tap 'More Info', which will take you to the product details page where you will see a detailed description of the product.
6. Select the product price option, or if this is a flexible monetary product, you can either select a monetary denomination from the list or tap in the value field to enter a custom value.
7. When ready, tap 'Continue' to proceed to the delivery method.
8. Tap 'Email (eVoucher)'.
You are now asked 'Give this as a gift?'.
If selecting Yes, the buyer can provide the recipient's details and send the voucher directly to them on a future date.
If selecting No, the buyer can only send the gift voucher to themselves, and the voucher cannot be personalised.
For the purposes of this example, we are sending this as a gift, and we will personalise this gift with a message.
9. On Give as a gift? tap 'Yes'.
10. On Personalise this gift? tap 'Yes'.
11. Now tap 'Continue'.
12. The gift voucher can now be personalised with a To, From and Personal message. Tap on the respective fields to edit.
13. You may also have the option to 'Hide the price of this product'. If checked, this will ensure that the price/value of the voucher is not displayed to the recipient when they receive their eVoucher.
If this option is not enabled and you would like this option to be available, then ensure 'Buyer allowed to change price visibility on voucher PDF' is toggled to 'Yes' in the pricing section of the Voucher Setup in your VoucherCart dashboard.
14. You can now choose the design of the voucher preferred by the buyer, simply tap the arrows to the left and right of the designs to cycle through the available designs then tap to select.
15. To preview the design in a larger view, select it then tap 'Preview'.
16. When you are ready tap 'Continue'.
17. You will now be asked if the buyer is sending this directly to the recipient, for this example, we are, so we will leave this option set to Yes (selecting 'No' will change the form to ask for the buyer's details instead).
18. Enter the recipient information in the fields provided: Recipient first name, recipient last name and recipient email.
19. If the buyer wants to send the voucher on a future date, for example, on the recipient's birthday, tap 'Send on a specific date' this will show a date picker to select a future date for sending the eVoucher.
20. Now tap 'Continue'.
21. Enter the buyer information in the fields provided: Buyer first name, buyer last name, buyer email address and buyer phone number (optional).
22. Ask the buyer if they consent to receiving marketing communications. If yes, tap the toggle to on.
23. Now tap 'Order Summary' to review the voucher order.
The order summary page will allow you to confirm any details with the buyer and check for any grammar or spelling errors before the order is placed and the product is added to the check for payment.
24. Once the order has been reviewed tap 'Add product to check' to generate the voucher order and add the product to the check for payment.
Please note: The VoucherCart system will generate the voucher order but it will NOT be visible in your dashboard nor will any emails be sent to the buyer or recipient until the check containing the voucher sale has been PAID
25. You will be shown confirmation that the product has been added to the check and can now either 'Sell a new voucher or gift card' or 'Return to the till' (closes the app).
26. The voucher product has been added to the check. Payment should now be taken from the buyer for the amount shown to complete the purchase. Once payment is made the voucher will be sent to the buyer or recipient and it will appear as an order in your VoucherCart admin dashboard.
