Intro
The Cardholder Discount feature in VoucherCart enables you to offer exclusive deals and discounts specifically for your cardholders when purchasing vouchers.
You have complete control over the eligible vouchers against which cardholder discounts may be applied and any minimum spending requirements, validity period, and discount amount. Additionally, you can choose whether the discount is a fixed monetary value or a percentage of the voucher price.
To promote engagement, you can also set up automated messages to send cardholders a summary of the deals they are eligible for, ensuring they are always informed about available offers.
Benefits of Offering Cardholder Discounts
Offering discounts to cardholders on voucher purchases is a simple but effective way to drive low-cost customer acquisition. It provides added value to your cardholders and encourages them to purchase vouchers for friends and family, organically bringing ICP-aligned customers directly to your business.
These new customers in turn can be issued with cards themselves (using the eVoucher flip-to-card behaviour) and via their card discount usage also have the potential to purchase vouchers for their friends, family, colleagues, or loved ones:
Creating Your Discount
From the Discounts section of the document, click on Add discount
Click on Create a Cardholder Discount
Enter the name for your discount
Choose the discount type and percentage or fixed discount amount
Set the validity window for your discount if desired
Set any minimum order value if desired
Choose the vouchers you want your discount to apply to, or apply to ALL
Click Save
Card Activation Reminder
This message reminds your new cardholders to register their card so they can begin using it and serves to mitigate the risk of cardholders presenting with unregistered cards at the time of use.
Cardholder Discount Notification
This message informs your cardholders of new discounts that they can take advantage of.
