Open discounts are displayed publicly and visible to all buyers on your VoucherCart sales pages and there is no discount code required at checkout for buyers to receive this discount.

To create an Open Discount, follow the instructions below:

1. Login to your dashboard.

2. Navigate to Discounts from the main navigation.

3. Click Add discount.

4. You will be presented with three options, select Create an Open Discount.

5. Give the discount a title (this is for internal use only).

6. Set a discount value type. Discounts can be fixed or a percentage of the original voucher value.

7. Set a validity period. All discounts need an Active From date. To set an end date, uncheck Unlimited and enter the Active To date.

8. If you wish to set conditions for this discount, simply tick the Minimum order value, and apply the minimum amount the buyer is required to spend before the discount can be applied

9. You can set Redemption restrictions additionally if desired:

a. Maximum number of uses - limits the number of times this discount can be used before it is removed from the sales page.

b. Set the maximum number of uses per buyer - limits the number of times the same buyer can use the discount. This is based on the buyer's email address.

10. Select one of two options:

a. All existing vouchers: apply the discount to all vouchers. Remember to uncheck Including not yet created vouchers if you do not wish the discount to be applied to new vouchers created.

b. Specific voucher(s): select the vouchers the discount will be applied to from your list of active and inactive vouchers.

11. Click Save.

12. Once the discount is active:

a. The selected vouchers are flagged as discounted, showing the discount amount.

b. A countdown will appear when there are less than 30 days left in the discount validity period.

c. The original price displays as crossed out, and the discounted price is displayed underneath.

14. If you have set usage limits and the amount of uses exceeds this, the discount is automatically removed from your VoucherCart sales page.
