VoucherCart does not have a direct integration with simpleERB for voucher validation or redemption. However, simpleERB provides a feature called private offers, which can be used to create a dedicated booking flow for voucher holders.
This creates a private booking link for voucher holders. Customers use this link to make a reservation in simpleERB, and your team can match the booking to the voucher using the code provided.
Steps to set up voucher bookings in simpleERB
1. Create a private offer in simpleERB
Log in to your simpleERB dashboard and follow these steps:
Navigate to Advanced Settings > Click "Booking Options / Offers" to create a new offer.
Enter a title and description, such as "Afternoon Tea Voucher Booking".
Set the specific dates and times when vouchers can be redeemed.
Define how many slots are available for these types of bookings.
Ensure you tick the “Private Only” box. This ensures the offer is hidden from your general public booking widget.
2. Add Booking Instructions
Configure the availability for voucher holders and within the offer description, add a clear instruction for the guest:
“Please enter your VoucherCart code in the booking comments section to secure your reservation.”
This step is crucial as it allows your front-of-house team to identify the booking as a voucher redemption.
3. Retrieve the Private Booking URL
Once the offer is saved, simpleERB will generate a unique Private Booking URL. Copy this link and please note that this URL will only show the specific voucher offer you created, keeping your standard availability separate.
4. Share the booking link with customers
To ensure the customer receives the booking link immediately, add it to your VoucherCart communications:
Voucher Description: Include the link in the "How to Redeem" section of the voucher.
Confirmation Emails: Add a "Book Now" button or link in the automated email sent after purchase.
Voucher PDF: Ensure the link is visible on the printed/digital PDF.

Redeeming the Voucher
When the customer arrives for their booking:
Locate the Code: Find the VoucherCart code provided in the simpleERB booking comments.
Validate: Check the code in your VoucherCart Dashboard to ensure it is valid and hasn't been used.
Redeem: Mark the voucher as "Redeemed" in VoucherCart (or via your integrated POS) to complete the transaction.
Please note the following when using VoucherCart with simpleERB:
simpleERB does not check the VoucherCart database. You must manually verify that the voucher is valid and hasn't expired when the booking comes through.
Making a booking in simpleERB does not automatically redeem the voucher in VoucherCart. You must still "Mark as Redeemed" in the VoucherCart dashboard to prevent double-use.
This method is excellent for controlling "voucher-only" inventory, ensuring you don't overbook during peak times.
