How to put a cap on the number of vouchers you wish to sell per product/option.

VoucherCart allows you to easily set a limit on how many vouchers you sell on your Sales Page.

Updated this week

This feature allows you to set a maximum number of units for specific vouchers and per each option in a voucher product.

1. When editing a specific voucher, you'll find the option to limit quantities under the 'Pricing' section. Toggle on 'Limit the Quantity' option.
2. Click on 'Manage'.

3. Click on 'Set a limit' under Main Quantity and enter the desired limit.

4. When you have vouchers with multiple options, you can set limits in two main ways:

a. If you have multiple voucher options, the first option is to leave the different categories as unlimited.

Main Quantity(Overall limit)- This is the total number of vouchers you want to sell across all variations of a single voucher type.

For example, if you have a "Mother's Day Champagne Afternoon Tea" voucher, you might set the Main Quantity to 100. In this scenario, each category (e.g., for 1 person, for 2 people) will be considered unlimited until the overall Main Quantity is reached.

b. The second option is to set separate limits for each category of the voucher.

In the example below, "Mother's Day Champagne Afternoon Tea":

  • "for 1 person," you could set a limit of 40.

  • "for 2 people," a limit of 50.

  • "for 3 people," a limit of 10.

In this example, the individual limits (40 + 50 + 10) add up to the Main Quantity of 100. This allows you to manage the stock alongside your available tables/sittings etc.

5. If you wish, you can turn on 'Show remaining quantity on the product details page'. This allows customers to see the number of remaining vouchers clearly on the sales page. This acts as a demand driver.

6. Additionally, you have the option to control when this exact quantity is shown. You can turn on 'hide remaining quantity when quantity is greater than'. This feature lets you choose to show the exact quantity only when a low number of vouchers are left, which creates a higher demand.

For example, you can set it so that the quantity only becomes visible when there are 10 vouchers left, and it will count down as they are sold.
